What belongs in a training contract? I’m about to send one off to a client so I thought it would be a good idea to share my thoughts on this in today’s podcast episode.
When you train people and demand money in exchange for your facilitation, you need a training contract. A good one protects you and your client and ensures both get they want.
We are trainers and consultants – not attorneys or lawyers. So that means that we need to get legal help. Downloading and using any old training contract from the internet is a big mistake.

Never download and use any old legal contract from the internet. A bad one is worse than useless…TrainingBusiness.com
I frequently see people send me a contract which is full of errors. It’s pretty obvious that it has been ‘borrowed’ or downloaded from some source. It’s a false economy and a big mistake.
If you aren’t clear on what needs to be in a training contract, that’s ok. You need to bring in the professionals. Expert opinion does not have to be expensive and it’s going to protect you.
